Take the opportunity to try out these ridiculously unique dining experiences at some of the world’s most bizarre themed restaurants, at least once in your life time.
The restaurant might consider it a compliment to be called an outhouse as the Modern Toilet diner is one of chain of themed eateries appealing to largely young clientele with a toilet humor. All 100 seats in the crowded diner are made from toilet bowls, not chairs. Sink faucets and gender-coded "WC" signs appear throughout the three-storey facility, one of 12 in an island-wide chain of eateries with a toilet theme. Customers eat from mini plastic toilet bowls. They wipe their hands and mouths using toilet rolls hung above their tables, which may be glass-topped jumbo bathtubs.
For most people, dining at death's door is not a palatable idea. But Clement Lee, executive director of nightspot operator LifeBrandz, hopes Aurum, which serving meals in macabre setting, will convince them otherwise. Lee said he wanted a controversial theme for the restaurant that features an avant-garde cooking style which uses scientific methods to create new flavors. Molecular gastronomy was made popular by world-renowned chefs such as Ferran Adria from Spain's El Bulli restaurant and Heston Blumenthal of Fat Duck in the English town of Bray. Adria's apprentice, Paco Roncero, is Aurum's technical consultant. And in case the unusual cuisine isn't enough to entice spoilt Singapore gourmands, Lee added a dash of the morbid -- gold wheelchairs, a morgue and surgical steel tables.
The Dining Dog Cafe and Bakery is not a place where one goes to eat (or bake) dogs, fortunately. It's a restaurant for dogs.
The waitress, who also happens to be the owner, will bring all the dogs at the table water and then start bringing out the appetizers. The food is dog-friendly.
The restaurant is running by Mechai Viravaidya, condom king of Thailand. The name of his restaurant chain, “Cabbages and Condoms,” reflects his philosophy that contraception and condoms should be as accessible as produce in Thailand. To help break that taboo, condoms and sex toys are a major part of the decor, hanging from ceilings, embedded in tables, affixed to lamps and imitating table flowers. They were even featured in a salad. They are even on the menu: Yam Tung Yang or Yam Cabbages & Condoms.
Eating on a larger-than-king-size mattress in a 20,000-square-foot room filled with 29 other beds, while the lights slowly change from pink to orange to blue to red and back to pink, feels very counter-intuitive. But once you settle in at Duvet, perhaps quaff one of the signature cocktails like the White Satin mojito (with vanilla bean), it's not hard to feel right at home. Eating on a mattress while propped up against sturdy yet comfy pillows is easier than you'd think. Hard-plastic donut-shaped disks in the center of the bed keep drinks stable while plates are placed on plastic TV trays. With such supreme (but very cozy) gimmickry, the taste buds tend to take a nap when it comes to the food. The progressive American menu is seafood heavy. The roasted black cod, bluefin tuna, and ginger-scented chicken with wild mushroom spring rolls are ambitious, but can't compete with the sensory overload of the dining room. In the end, however, you'll be sorry when the check comes---not because you'll have to pay it, but because you'll have to get up.
If you like to experience rude service, (maybe once a while), you can go to Dick’s Last Resort in Chicago, USA. This is the place where you can not only enjoy a wide range of choices on the menu, but also have lots of fun from watching the waiters who will inflict rude jokes and humor upon the customers (including you).
The Jail is a prison-themed restaurant in Taiwan. The layout is just like any other prison with sliding iron bars and metallic aluminum floors with waitresses dressed as sexy wardens. Customers will be given the option to be handcuffed and taken to their own prison cell with a dining table and comfortable seats. This is where patrons can enjoy good food and soothing music.
8:- Let Anger Out Restaurant Anger Release Bar in Nanjing
Smash the plates and beat up the servers at restaurants is now an option. In eastern China's city of Nanjing, the Rising Sun Anger Release Bar lets customers smash everything in the restaurant, though that service isn't offered for free.
Hadaka Sushi, a sushi restaurant in Los Angeles, USA, introduces the sensual concept of “Nyotaimori” which basically means a female body as the food platter. Usually the woman chosen for the task is a beautiful model who will then lay down as still as possible on a serving table.
