Drunk breast-feeder arrested for tyre slash
A North Dakota woman convicted of breast-feeding her 6-week-old baby while drunk is in jail after another run-in with the law.
A judge last week had ordered 26-year-old Stacey Anvarinia to get treatment that could have helped her avoid jail on a child-neglect charge.
The case grabbed international attention and stirred debate about breast-feeding, alcohol and privacy.
Hours after her sentencing, Anvarinia was arrested for allegedly slashing a tyre on a truck, according to the Grand Forks Herald newspaper. Police say she appeared drunk when they found her.
The fresh legal troubles prompted Judge Sonja Clapp to rescind the treatment option for Anvarinia on Wednesday.
Prosecutors said the baby has been moved "out of the home" but gave no details.
